"Lundy the traitor" - fire is set to a straw effigy of a 17th century city commander each year ... "the fate of all traitors". What would Ulster be like without this obsession with treason?

Seems they somehow just can't ...

It seems everybody has heard about the negative aspects of Northern Ireland - the violence, the killings, the strife. The vast majority of people, both Taigs and Prods, lead decent lives there and they're about as happy as everybody else. I lived among them for a couple of months in 1995 and 1996 and it was one of the best times of my life. It's a lovely place and people are warm and welcoming - more so than anywhere else I've been to so far. Go there, you won't regret it!
